Film is not dead yet, so says this curious if pleasant little film from CNN. But does it really matter? You decide.

Congratulations to Jayne and Dave for their wedding yesterday. I hope your future lives together are filled with laughter, love and endless opportunity. The most common question Iโ€™m asked is: why did you become a photographer? The only truly honest answer is that Iโ€™m a nosey bastard. I like to poke my nose into other peopleโ€™s business, and then tell the world about it. Photography is one of the only professions that gives you a licence to do that. And I love meeting interesting people. The latest issue of @bjp1854 has an article Taking A Stanza, which discusses the renewed popularity of poetry paired with photography. In particular David Soloโ€™s (who co-curated Photo Poetry Surfaces at the 2021 Bristol Photo Festival) statement that, โ€œthese collaborations work best when the poetry is not a caption and the photography is not an illustration, but rather both raise questions,โ€ really struck a chord. Simon Weston CBE. Photographed for the Orpington Literary Festival where he was interviewed by Tessa Dunlop. Nicky Forbes, drummer from the Revillos, accomplished raconteur, and author of The Rhythm Method. Photographed for the Orpington Literary Festival. Digging through my archives and came across this portrait of Canadian astronaut and author, and former commander of the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield. Photographed at the Canadian High Commission in London.
